Best men
Some of you may have wondered why I have two best men, well I wanted to appoint a best man for the wedding but couldn’t find one so went with two barely competent ones instead. In the end my confidence was well placed. The boys have done me proud and have both risen to the occasion. Guys, thanks very much for all your help.
Bridesmaids
One of my official duties in this speech is to thank the bridesmaids, but I would have done so anyway. The girls have been a terrific help to Kat, not only today, but throughout the many weeks of intense preparation, and they have all carried out their duties splendidly. Would you all please raise your glasses in a toast to – the bridesmaids!
Finish
I think I’ve probably gone on long enough so just before I finish and hand over Mark and Craig. I would like you to join me in raising a glass to all the wonderful people who have made today happen and especially to my new and beautiful wife Mrs Kathryn Christie.
