It will transfer energy slowly
A farmer plants some seeds in rows 10cm apart and they grow well. He wonder if he should plant them closer next year. Explain why this might not produce a better yield.
When grown closer together there is more competition for light, water, nutrients etc so they won’t do as well
Suggest why animals in a desert spend all day in a burrow and come out at night.
Because it is too hot for them during the day so they can cool down and hunt and eat at night to keep warm because it is freezing in deserts at night
Why is it difficult to interpret data about changes in the distribution of animals and plants?
There are so many possible variables. Warm climate might lead to other changes that could interrupt the distribution of organisms
State 3 things that plants compete for
- light
- water
- nutrients
- space
