Speed=frequency x wavelength

27
Q

What does AM stand for

A

Amplitude modulation

28
Q

How dies AM work?

A

AM changes the amplitude of the carrier wave

29
Q

What does FM stand for

A

Frequency modulation

30
Q

How does FM work?

A

FM change the frequency of the carrier wave

31
Q

Which travels further AM or FM?

32
Q

What do ADSL modems use to send information?

A

Digital signal

33
Q

What do optic fibre modems use to send a signal?

A

Light pulses along glass fibres

34
Q

What EMR do TVs use?

A

Radio waves

35
Q

Do TVs have a digital or analogue signal?

A

Digital

36
Q

What type of EMR do mibile phones use?

A

Microwaves

37
Q

Explain how a message gets from one mobile phone to another

A

Mobile phone sends a message to a base station which is in line of sight of the sender. The message is then moved between the base station to another using a copper cable, optic fibre or satellites. It is then distributed to the receiving phone.

38
Q

Can all EMR be reflected, bent or make a shadow?

A

Yes
