What is centering
A
Centering is used to combat the effects of anxiety, the intentions are for the performer to completely any feelings of anxiety with control

What are the benefits of centering
A
- It is easy to work
- There is no need for any equipment use
- it can be done at the performers own convenience
- It can encourage the performer to release tension and it can promote assertiveness

What are the limitations of centering
A
- It can make the performer feel uneasy when using the method
- It requires a high level of personal responsibility
- The results won’t come immediately

What is positive outlook
A
The use of the positive outlook approach means self control can be established. This will mean for the performer to deliberately only focus on the positives

What are the advantages of Positive outlook approach
A
- It gives the performer ownership of how they feel
- Encourages for self reflection and self appreciation
- When focusing on the successes it’s more likely to be repeated

What are the disadvantages of positive self-outlook approach
A
- The method may not be able to be used immediately
- Loss of self-control may be too difficult to process and bring back
- Possibly many negatives moments adding up to over do this approach
