Q

What is one of the most convincing pieces of evidence/research that the production of facial expressions has a biological basis?

A

Peleg et al (2006) studied the correlation between expression structures (small differences in emotion expression) between congenitally blind children and their parents. A high correlation was found, indicating that expression of emotions has a strong biological basis, rather than modelling.
