Q

What does Schachter Singer’s Theory suggest?

A

Emotion is due to two factors: physiological arousal and cognitive process. The subjective emotional experience is derived from their perception that physiological change occurred and the cognitive interpretation of that change.

17
Q

Regarding Schachter Singer’s Theory, what is the role of cognition?

A

Cognition determines how the experience associated with physiological change will be labelled – individuals decide how to interpret the physiological responses.
