A
single motor neuron and all of the muscle fibers that it controls

How is the amount of muscle control related to motor unit size?
A
small motor units: one motor neuron innervating few muscle fibers
large motor units: one motor neuron innervating several muscle fibers
inversely related to size

A
increasing the number of simultaneously active motor units increases muscle strength

A
activated motor units generate and conduct electrical impulses that can be measured as changes in skin voltage
