What are sonographic contrast agents?
Sonographic contrast agents involve the use of microbubbles which are injected or ingested to enhance specific tissues.
What is strain elastography?
Strain elastography is a qualitative assessment of tissue stiffness displayed as a color map superimposed over a grayscale (B-mode) image.
What is shear wave elastography?
Shear wave elastography is a quantitative assessment of tissue stiffness.
What is hybrid imaging fusion?
Hybrid imaging fusion is the simultaneous display of cross-sectional imaging modality (i.e., CT, MRI) and real-time ultrasound for diagnostic confidence in a positive finding.
Requires transducer sensor and patient transmitter; cross-sectional images are displayed on ultrasound unit for reference and sonographic recreation.
