- Primarily effect birds
- Transmitted via sick birds but can be passed from human to human

- Tranitted from wild animals and then human to human
- Mainly west Africa regions
- Body fluids from infected person - can be from the person directly or on things like clothes that may have body fluids
- Can enter through cuts in the body or by touching eyes, nose, mouth
- Fever, fatigue, headache
