- Carburetor Heat - ON
- Fuel Selector Valve - SWITCH TANKS
- Mixture - RICH
- Auxiliary Fuel Pump - ON
- Throttle - OPEN 1/4 INCH
- Ignition Switch - BOTH
- Starter - ENGAGE if propeller is stopped
