Emergency Procedures Flashcards
Auto rotation procedure
Collective pitch reduce IAS Vy At 70’ - cyclic flare At 20/25’ - gradually increase collective to reduce descent - cyclic forward to 10° - increase collective to cushion touch down
Loss of tail rotor control (stuck pedal)
Adjust IAS to 70 KTS HYD2 isolate ACCU TEST Left / shallow fast Right / normal slow
Dual VEMD failure
Land as soon as practical
Max power for straight and level
IAS 100 KTS (-2kts/1000’)
Loss of NR Indication
Land as soon as practicable
Maintain TRQ above 10%
Loss of N2 indication
Continue flight
Use NR to keep in green
TRQ > 0%
Eng temp
Airspeed to at least 80 KTS
If temp decreases
- land as soon as practical
If temp does not decrease
- land as soon as possible
Low engine oil pressure (VEMD)
Check CWP for ENG P
If Eng P not illuminated, CWP test
- if Bulb works
- land as soon as practical
- If bulb doesn’t work
- land immediately
If Eng P illuminated
- land immediately
N1 indication failure
Land as soon as practical
Comply with max TRQ
Comply with max TOT 842
TRQ indication failure
Land as soon as practical
Comply with N1 (-4)
N1 and TRQ indication failure
Land as soon as practical
Comply with N1 limitation (96)
Comply with TOT limitation 842°C
TOT indication failure
Land as soon as practical
Comply with N1/TRQ limits
Switch off heating/demisting
Eng Fire (start up)
Start selector off Fuel cut off AFT Fuel P off Crank 10 secs Emer SW Off Rotor brake Exit aircraft
Eng Fire (flight)
Land Immediately
Reduce collective Slow to Vy Enter auto rotation Fuel cut off AFT Fuel P off Start selector off
After Landing:
Emer SW / Batt Off
Rotor brake
Exit aircraft
Gov (Red)
Land as soon as practical
Verify Amber gov (EBCAU) Avoid abrupt collective inputs Maintain N1 above: 80 < 20000’ 85 > 20000’
Powered non steep approach
Gov (Amber)
Land as soon as practical
Avoid abrupt collective inputs
Maintain IAS below Power off VNE
