Engine compartment fire in-flight
- Attempt to confirm presence of fire (alert crew)
- Single engine flight profile establish
If fire confirmed: - FCS (affected engine) confirm; idle, confirm; off
- EFSL (affected engine) confirm; off
- Boost (affected engine) off
- PRI fire extinguisher button confirm push
- SEC fire extinguisher button push
- 200-foot checks complete
If fire still persists - Land/ditch immediately
If fire no longer evident - Land as soon as possible
Engine compartment fire on deck
- Attempt to confirm presence of fire (alert crew)
- FCS - both off
- EFSLs- botch off
- Boost pumps - all off
If fire confirmed - PRI fire extinguisher button (affected engine) - confirm; push
- SEC FIRE Extinguisher button -push
- Emergency electrical cut off - off
- Rotor brake- on
- Evacuate aircraft
Engine compartment post shutdown fire
- Fadec control switch - check off
- Boost pumps - check off
- EFSL (affected engine) - off
If high tot still evident after 10 seconds: - Crank button- depress until tot decreases
If tot continues to rise or does not decrease: - Emergency electrical cut off - off
- Rotor brake- on
- Evacuate aircraft
Main gearbox fire
- Attempt to confirm presence of fire (alert crew)
- 200-foot checklist- complete
If fire confirmed - Land/ditch immediately
If fire NOT confirmed - Land as soon as possible
Internal fire (cabin, electrical, avionics)
- Designate crew member to fight fire
- Affected equipment- off
- Circuit breakers- pull (for affected circuits)
- Rack blower circuit breaker - pull (for avionics rack fire only- avionics rack panel R5 No. 4)
- Heat/cool switches off
- Ram air, doors, and CP window - closed
- 200-foot checklist- complete
If electrical or avionics fire persists - Emergency electrical cut off - off
If electrical or avionics fire persists - Land/ditch immediately
If fire goes out - Land as soon as possible
Smoke and fume elimination
- Heat/cool switches - off
2. Ram air, cabin sliding door, and CP window - open
Heater overheat
Heat switch - off
Battery over temperature/thermal runaway
Batt relay switches - both off
MGB Failure imminent
- 200-foot checklist- complete
2. Land/ditch immediately
TGB chip detected
- Establish safe altitude and airspeed for possible loss of tail rotor thrust
- Land as soon as possible
minor FADEC/Governor Failure
- Complete the BIG 4.
Major FADEC Failure
- Complete the Big 4.
- TRNG switch - FLT
- FADEC backup control switch (affected engine): Backup
N1 Divergence/partial power loss
- Complete the BIG 4
Abnormal vibrations
- 200-foot checklist - Complete
- Land/Ditch immediately
if moderate vibrations: - Land as soon as possible
Immediate emergency ditching/landing
- Crew and passengers - alerted
- wheel floats - as required
- land/ditch aircraft
- EFSLs - both off
- emergency electrical cutoff - as required
- rotor brake (land only) - on
- emergency egress - execute
Emergency Egress
- Wait
- Hold
- Jettison
- Cords
- Harness
- Egress
- Inflate
Malfunctioning cabin sliding door
- FM - remain secured to aircraft
Audio system Failure (not associated with hoisting)
- Pilot and copilot audio bypass switches - bypass
Pilot actions during unusual attitude recovery
- Level the wings
- Nose on the horizon
- Center the ball
- Power - adjust to maintain level flight
Lost Swimmer Day
- Mark and note position
- transition and establish right hand orbit
- look and listen for RS signals
- when visual - resume hover position
if these procedures fail to relocate RS - Complete leaving Rescue Swimmer on scene procedure
Lost swimmer Night
- Mark and note position
- flash landing/hover light
- look and listen for RS signals
- when visual - cease flashing light

- mark and record position
- deploy lighted raft
- deploy DMB
nose wheel shimmy damper failure
- Lift aircraft off ground immediately or reduce taxi speed
