If speed is below VR
Brakes..... Maximum Pilot Effort Without Skidding Throttle Lever..... Idle If runway departure is imminent: (a) Engine Knob... OFF (b) Engine Button..... Press
Engine Emergency on Takeoff
If speed is above VR and there is sufficient runway for landing
Maintain flying speed and directional control
Landing Gear….Down
Land straight ahead
Engine Emergency on Takeoff
If speed is above VR and there is insufficient runway for landing
Maintain flying speed and directional control, and expedite return to nearest practical landing site or High Key/Low Key.
Perform Emergency Landing w/o Power checklist
Engine Failure In Flight
Best Glide Speed….Establish
Fuel Tank Selector….Auto
Perform Airstart checklist
Airstart Checklist
BAT 1 and BAT 2 Switches....Verify ON Engine reset: Engine Knob....OFF Engine Button....Press (Momentary) Engine start: N2....Wait until
Hot/Hung Start
*If failure to accelerate for more than 30 seconds, no N1 speed at 25% N2, or low oil pressure after start:
Engine Knob….OFF
Engine Button….Press and Hold 15-30 seconds Hot/Hung Start
Wet Start
*If failure to light-off within 10 seconds:
Throttle Lever….IDLE
Engine Knob….OFF
*If on ground:
a. Engine Button….Press and Hold 15-30 Seconds
Engine Fire In Flight
Throttle Lever….IDLE
Wait 15 seconds
*If Engine Fire Warning remains on-probable engine fire:
a. FIRE Switch….Lift Guard, Push
Wing Fire In Flight
Probe Heat IPS Switch....OFF Strobe Light....OFF Land Light....OFF Nav Lights CB....Pull Perform Emergency Descent Checklist as required Land as soon as possible
Smoke Removal
Crew Oxygen Mask(s)....Don, Set to 100% Verify Oxygen flow to mask(s) Smoke Goggles (if equipped)....Don MIC Select Switch....Mask MIC Instruct passenger(s) to don mask(s)
Ground Fire
Throttle Lever....IDLE Engine Knob....OFF Engine Button....Press (Momentary) BAT 1 and BAT 2 Switches....OFF Evacuate airplane Call Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting, if required.
Aborted Takeoff
Brakes….A/R
Throttle Lever….IDLE
Emergency Descent
Autopilot….Disengage
Throttle Lever….IDLE
Pitch….-20 Degrees (approx)
Airspeed….Increase to VMO (250 kts) MMO (0.53 MACH) MAX
Emergency Landing W/Power
Fly over selected field with flaps 50% at 115 KIAS noting terrain and obstructions *If field is hard and smooth: a. Landing Gear....Down *If field is rough or soft: a. Landing Gear....UP Radio....Transmit (121.5 MHZ) Mayday with location and intentions Transponder....Squawk 7700 Flaps....A/R Seat Belt(s)....Secured
