Engine Failure During Takeoff
Throttle - Idle
Brakes - Apply
Engine - Shutdown if needed
Engine Failure Immediately After Takeoff
Airspeed - Maintain Safe
Engine - Shutdown
Cabin Door - Unlatch
Land - Strait Ahead
Engine Failure - Flight
Airspeed - 68 KIAS Place to land - Pilot option Fuel Shutoff - On/In Fuel Selector - Both Fuel Pump - On Mixture - Rich Magnetos - Both (Start if prop is stopped)
Power-off Landing
Airspeed - 68 KIAS
Place to land - Pilot option
Seat backs - Most upright position
Seats and Seat belts - Secure
Engine Fire - Start
Magnetos - Start
If engine starts:
Power - 1800 RPM for a few min.
Engine - Shutdown, Inspect for damage
If engine does not start: Magnetos - Start, Continue cranking Throttle - Full open Mixture - Idle cut-off Fuel shutoff valve - Off/Out Fuel pump switch - Off Magneto switch - Off STBY BATT switch - Off Master switch - Off
Engine Fire - Flight
Mixture - Idle Cut-off
Fuel shutoff valve - Off/Out
Fuel pump switch - Off
Master switch - Off
Cabin Fire
STBY BATT - Off Master switch - Off Cabin vents - Close Cabin HT/Air - Off Fire extinguisher - Activate
Wing Fire
Land switch - Off Taxi switch - Off NAV switch - Off Strobe switch - Off Pulselite switch - Off Pitot heat switch - Off
Electrical Fire - Flight
STBY BATT - Off Master switch - Off Cabin vents - Closed Cabin HT/Air - Off Fire Extinguisher - Activate
Emergency Decent
Throttle - Idle Mixture - Rich Bank - 30°-45° Airspeed - Below 129 KIAS Rollout - Pilot option
Spin Recovery
Throttle - Idle
Ailerons - Neutral
Rudder - Full opposite of spin
Control wheel - Briskly forward
When rotation stops:
Rudder - Neutral
Control wheel - As Required
Throttle - As Required
Inadvertand Icing Encounter
Pitot Heat - On Maneuver - Exit icing conditions Cabin HT - On/Out Defroster - Open Cabin Air - Adjust
High Carbon Monoxide Level
Cabin HT - Off
Cabin Air - On/Out
Cabin Vents - Open
