- Carb heat on
- Fuel selector both
- Mixture rich
- Ignition both(start if prop stopped)
- Primer in and locked

- Best glide 65
- Mixture idle
- Fuel selector off
- Ignition off
- Flaps as required 30 recommended
- Master off
- Doors unlatch
- Touchdown tail low
- Brakes heavy

- Flaps 20
- 60 kts flaps best glide
- Flyover retract flaps safe altitude and airspeed
- Avionics off
- Flaps 30
- Airspeed flaps best glide
- Master off
- Doors unlatch
- Touchdown tail low
- Ignition off
- Brakes heavy

Fire on ground during start
A
- Continue cranking
- Power 1700 rpm for a few minutes.
- Shutdown inspect for damage
If engine fails to start - Throttle full
- Mixture cutoff
- Continue cranking
- Obtain fire extinguisher
- Master magneto fuel selector off
- Extinguish fire
- Inspect for damage

- Mixture cutoff
- Fuel selector off
- Master off
- Cabin heat and air off
- 100 kias (increase until fire goes out)
- Forced landing

- Master
- Avionics off
- All other switches off
- Vents/cabin heat/air
- Use fire extinguisher
- Vent cabin
- Master switch on
- Check for faulty circuit do not turn on
- Radio off
- Avionics on
- Electrical switches on one at a time
- Open vents cabin air/heat

- Extinguish fire
- Land and insoect for damage ASAP
