What is a flash fire?
Occurs after the impact of an aircraft. Caused by the explosion of combustible gases emitted by burning plastics, etc. The gases rise and explode into flames.
What is a flashover?
Occurs after impact when heat and combustible gases are generated by widespread fire. Occurs when increased O2 levels enters the cabin when exits are opened, fueling the explosion of combustible gases.
