A

PF- “Autothrottle arm switch off, set max continuous thrust”

TRIM

PM- select auto throttle arm
switch off, CON on TMSP AND manually position thrust levers, on FMC cruise page select ENG OUT, ENG OUT CRZ D/DOWN…EXECUTE
LIGHTS, ATC
PF- ENSURE VNAV ENGAGED AND SET ALTITUDE IN WINDOW, TURN IF REQUIRED AND CALL CHECKLIST ENGINE FAILURE IN CRUISE

Engine failure on approach

A

Flaps 20 or less- Checklist engine failure, complete normal single engine approach and landing

Flaps more than 20 or past the FAF- Go around or adjust thrust to maintain speed and continue approach

Stall

A

Call “STALL” HOLD COntrol column firmly disconnect autopilot and auto throttle apply nose down elevator- When out of stall roll wings level and increase thrust smoothly- check speed brakes retracted- if clean during liftoff call flaps 1

*if elevator,trim,and power reduction don’t work consider rolling with rudder up to 60degrees to unload the wing.

Promptly and smoothly execute the command
If on final, may have to execute a missed approach

Pm calls “rouge 1119 tcas ra” rouge 119 clear of conflict returning to”

  • return to cleared level at no greater than 500fpm

Dual Engine Failure

A

ENG START selectors both- FLT
Thrust levers both- IDLE
Fuel Control switches Both- CUTOFF, THEN RUN
If engine appears stalled or egt approaches the standby placard limit- Confirm cutoff then run

-turn and offset as follows (don’t do a 180 until under 290)

Russia- 30 degrees right 16.2 nm
other- 45 degrees left or right 15nm
when established on the offset climb or descend 500ft
