Describe the Williamson turn
A
- Rudder hard over to the side of casualty.
- After deviation from original course by 60⁰ rudder hard over to the opposite side.
- When heading 20⁰ short of opposite course, rudder to midship position and ship turned to opposite course.
- Good in reduce visibility

Describe the One-turn
A
- Rudder hard-over to the side of casualty
- After deviation from the original course by 250⁰ rudder to midship and stopping maneuver to be initiated
- This method takes shortest time to recovery
- Good for ships with tight turning circle

Describe Scharnow turn
A
- Rudder hard over to the side of the casualty
- After deviation from the original course by 240⁰, rudder hard over to the opposite side
- When heading 20⁰ short of opposite course, rudder to midship so that ship will turn to opposite course
- Not to be used in an immediate action situation
