Equipment found defective during preflight inspection
Inform PIC who consults MEL and contacts maintenance

Replaced in its original location unless inoperative in which case the MEL is referenced
In-charge informed and enters details into the Cabin Defect Log Book after discussion with PIC and signature

Wet - move away from water, dry the patient
Pacemakers - pads one inch away from pacemaker

ELT Emergency Locator Transmitter operation
Automatically activated with forward impact forces of 5Gs or more when power switch in Auto
Can be turned on manually on the ELT or in flight deck
Buzzer will be heard
Transmits a satellite signal for 72 hours that can be picked up by other aircraft
Cold temperatures detrimental effect
Orange waterproof box with antenna and

1 remove from bracket
2 twist cotter pin to break witness wire
3 pull pin
4 hold up right at 45 degree angle
5 grasp hose and aim at base of fire
6 squeeze handles together to discharge
7 use side to side sweeping motion and fully discharge entire contents
