PF announce “EMERGENCY DESCENT QRC”
PM: run the QRC

To descend fast the PF

Selects FLCH, thrust idle, boards full, speed manual at discretion of PF:
-If no damage maintain VMO or MMO. -

-if damage suspected 200KIAS with gear down and pressure dump at 10,000.

Question 3

PM duties in emergency descent are:

• FSTN BELTS ON
• Advise ATC
• 7700 XPDR
• if cabin altitude 14,500’ or above select MASKS DEPLOY to OVRD.
• announce “FASTEN BELTS, DON MASKS”
• call each 5 thousand foot altitude change

At 20,000 the PM:

Answer 4

Call out each 1,000 foot altitude change until leveling off

Question 5

At level off the PM

Answer 5

Briefs the cabin crew of the situation
