Mixture FULL RICH
Propellors FULL INCREASE
Throttle FULL OPEN
Inoperative Engine VERIFY
Throttle (inop) CLOSE
Propellors (inop) FEATHER
Mixture (inop) CUT OFF
Establish Bank 2 / 3 DEGREES INTO INOP ENGIN
Trim ADJUST

*Adjust trim 2 to 3 degrees bank towards operating engine with approx 1/2 trapezoid slip indicated on the turn and bank indicator.

Cowl Flap (operating engine) AS REQUIRED
Cowl Flap (inop engine) CLOSE
Mags (inop engine) OFF
Fuel Pump (inop engine) OFF
Alternator (inop engine) OFF
Fuel Selector (inop engine) CLOSED

*Land as soon as possible.

Question 2

Engine fire during start

Answer 2

If engine HAS NOT started:

Mixture CUT OFF
Throttle FULL OPEN
Engine Start CONTINUE CRANKING

If engine has started continue operating the engine and try pulling the fire into the engine.

If fire CONTINUES:

Fuel Selectors OFF
Fuel Pumps OFF
Mixtures CUTOFF
Throttles FULL OPEN
External Fire Extinguisher USE
Aircraft EVACUATE

Throttles CLOSED
Mixtures CUTOFF
Fuel Pumps OFF
Magnetos OFF
Batt Master OFF
Emergency Battery OFF
