  • State “this is an emergency call”
  • Ensure you are talking to the right person.
  • Your name, job role, company and head code.
  • Where/location you are speaking from.
  • Give a brief description of incident and what you require to be done.
  • Are emergency services required?
  • Get this read back - ensure you listen.

Information to report

A
  • Exact location and details of incident.
  • Give details of any blocked lines.
  • Whether current needs switching off (may need to contact ECO)
  • Whether emergency services are required.
  • Details of any involved Dangerous Goods.
  • Use a SPT or line side telephone if possible.
    ALWAYS CALL CONTROLLING SIGNALLER FIRST.
