high fever, rigors, respiratory symptoms, unilateral neck swelling or pain
- healthy young adolescents
- fusibacterium necrophorum–> bactermia–> septic thrombophlebitis
- U/S to check for internal jugular vein thrombophlebitis
- ampicillin sulbactam

How do you treat venous thoracic outlet syndrome? What do you see on physical exam? What is it caused by?
A
catheter directed thrombolysis
- redness, cyanosis, dilated veins (Uscher’s sign)
- anatomic abnormalities of thoracic outlet (cervical rib) or thrombosis of axillary vein
