What is the dose and route of adrenaline in cardiac arrest ?
IV 1mg every 3-5 minutes ( 1 in 10,000 solution )
What is the dose and route of adrenaline in anaphylaxis ?
IM 500 micrograms ( concentration of 1 in 1000 ) repeat at 5 mins in no improvement
What is the dose and route of hydrocortisone in thyrotoxic crisis ?
100mg IV every 6 hours
What is the dose and route of hydrocortisone in adrenal crisis ?
IM or IV - initially 100mg
Then continuous IV infusion of 200mg/24 hours

100 mg every 6 hours IV until conservation to oral pred can be made

Initially 10-20mL 10% slow IV injection

Slow IV injection 30mL calcium gluconate 10% single dose

0.1 unit/kg/hour infusion

PR 10-20mg for 1 dose, then 10-20mg for 1 dose after 5-10 minutes if required
