Emergency engine shut down memory items
Secure engine:
condition lever - idle cutoff
Prop lever - feather
Firewall shutoff valve - off
Fire extinguisher - if fire persists, actuate
2nd engine flame out
Power lever - idle
Prop lever - Do not feather
Condition lever - idle cutoff
Conduct abnormal procedure - air start
Fuel press Cas message memory items
Standby pump on
Engine failure at or above V1
Set max power
@ Vr - rotate to 8° nose up
Positive rate - gear up
Airspeed - V2 till 400’ AGL
Propeller - verify feathered (what’s the problem call)
Airspeed above 400’ - V enr
Identify electrical, enviro and windshield smoke
Electrical - grey or tan, irritating to nose throat or eyes
Enviro - white
Windshield- smells electrical, possible smoke or fire on lower onboard corner near the centre post
Smoke memory items
Oxygen mask - Don
Mask selector - Emerg
Mic switch- Oxy
Chip detect - why watch engine perimeters?
Bottom of gear reduction box, shaft drives oil scavenge pump
What is the psi of a cracked windshield?
2.0-4.6, but not a memory item.
Approx 25’000’ will give a 4.6 diff at cabin 10,500’
