A
Turn AC to tailwind.
Set parking brake
Both engine master off
both fuel selectors off
advise ATC
Electrical master off
Checklist at captain descretion
Open canopy and evacuate
Bring extinguisher if time permits

Throttle back
Rudder to maintain straight direction control,
Check/verify gear down
Flaps as required
Land aircraft ahead or to the sides to avoid obsacles
On ground brakes as required
In case of fire turn aplicable to aboid fire spreading.

  • Positive control  ATC - state intensions
  • 1000ft AGL L/R alternator off
  • L/R Fuel selector off
  • Emergency checklist, normal checklist. If returning G/A checklist.

Engine fire above 82 and no remaining runway. Or during go/around

A

• Autopilot disengage.
Full power
Gear up – flaps up
Identify burning engine by visual and climb to least 400ftAGL(550) at full power/82/15 ANU
Cabin heat and defroster off
L/R throttle close (YAW – motor dør)
Maintain heading by using rudder and wings level, lower nose to 2ANU.
L/R Engine master off (prop control)
L/R Fuel selector off
Estabish 82 kts. 5 ANU
Call out “Status on fire”
Trim Rudder to good engine
Positive control contact ATC. (if fire is ongoing) “busting minima”
Safe altitude L/R alternator off
Continue as cleared and emergency + normal checklist.

L/R leg dead
“L/R throttle close, now set to half power”
Trim aircraft up and rudder to good engine
Maintain altitude and heading. Min. Vyse. (if altitude cant be hold,request descent) if not possible: Engine master inop. Engine off.)
Fuel selectors both on. “L/R fuel selector cross feed”

Aux. fuel pumps on – if applicably

C/B checked
Still no pwr and time permits emergency checklist.
Still no power Engine master inop. Engine off.
Cant hold altitude request drift down
Land as soon as posible.

A

Autopilot disengage.
Full power
Gear up – flaps up
Identify burning engine by visual “L/R engine burning”
Cabin heat and defroster off
“L/R throttle close” of burning engine fully. (YAW – motor dør)
Maintain heading by using rudder and wings level
“L/R Engine master off” (simulated)
“L/R Fuel selector off” (simulated)
“status on fire?”
Trim Rudder to good engine
Positive control contact ATC. “mayday mayday mayday”
L/R alternator off (simulated)
Continue as cleared and emergency
If fire is out: Land as soon as posible. Fire ongoing Land immediately.

ALternator failure

A

Take checklist and complete the procedure
If power isnot restored max 60A.
“dual alternator failure must be treated as an emergency”
If all power is lost emergency switch to on and continue VMC or divert wit MDR,
30 min power on engine and consider (gear, flaps, engines etc).

  • Extinguis with water, coffee or other fluids. On persons maybe by hands.
  • Divert or land considering the fire
  • Fresh air can help on smoke,but start new fire.

A

Normally reat it as an electrical fire. If the problem is still ungoing precautionary landing or emergency landing depending on placement.

Communication failure

A

TAVPACED
T - Troubleshoot. Check frequency, volume, COM panel set-up, headset jacks
A - A mode squawk 7600
V - VMC if vmc maintain vmc and land as soon as practical. If IMC continue with PACED
P - Proceed according to flight plan
A - Arrange flight arrange to be overhead IAF so you can start app. at EET in flightplan
C - Commece descent to be overhead IAF as soon as EET is expired
E - Execute apporach to the expected runway in use
D - Diver if no contact, divert.

Continue as for engine fire durting cruise
Checlist
If fire is outland as soon as possible. If fire is ongoing land immediately.
