Q

Cockpit/Cabin Fire or Smoke

A

Prepare to land immediately. Pax may be able to help extinguish fire given altitude. Keep cockpit windows closed unless smoke too strong. Turn on Sat tracker and ELT, mayday call.

Q

Suspected Electrical Fire (Fumes)

A

Land as soon as possible. Make radio call if possible before shutting master off. Select all electrical switches off, Sat tracker on. If fuel pressure remains below 5 psi the engine will continue to run but not for climb or go around power.

Q

Gen Fail Warning Light On

A

QRH:
Overvoltage condition is sensed by the regulator

  1. Volt/Load Meter confirm
  2. Overvoltage switch confirm
  3. Turn off all non essential electrical equipment
  4. Land as soon as practical

Caution: Do not cycle the gen output switch or gen overvoltage switch as this can severely damage the generator and related components.

17
Q

Double boost pump Failure

A

QRH:
1. Altitude descend below 8000

  • If fuel pressure remains below 5 psi engine will continue to run in cruise but may not for climb or go around power
  • fuel will not transfer - only available remaining fuel is whatever is in front tank

18
Q

Abnormal Pitch

A
  1. Control column hold firmly
  2. Trim wheel hold firmly
  • memory
  • use pax or seat belt to try to secure trim wheel
  • Declare emergency
19
Q

Duct overheat warning light on

A

Heating Duct Temp has increased above 177 C

  1. Bleed Air off
  2. Cabin Air full open
  3. Defrost closed
  4. Bleed air (after Caution light extinguishes) on

20
Q

Chip detector Light

A

QRH:

On ground: do not proceed with flight. Observe all parameters and shut down.
In air steady: observe parameters, look for vibrations or anything else abnormal. If all looks ok continue and report. If other indications look for a place to land.

21
Q

Comm Failure

A

QRH:

  1. Troubleshoot
  2. Emergency avionics switch on
  3. Transponder 7600
  4. When in controlled airspace maintain last cleared route, enter circuit, follow light signals.
  5. When in uncontrolled airspace maintain clear of uncontrolled.
