Types of Emergency Landings
A
Forced Landing
• An immediate landing, on or off airport.
• Impossible to continue further flight.
• Example: Engine failure
Precautionary Landing
• Further flight is possible but inadvisable.
• Could be ON or OFF airport.
• Examples: Electrical, Hydraulic, Navigation
Ditching
• A forced or precautionary landing on water
