Firewall shutoff valve - pull Throttle - idle Propeller - feather Mixture - idle cut-off Engine shutdown checklist - complete
Smoke in cabin
Heater - off Cabin and ground fan - off Vents - close Storm windows - open **If electrical fire is suspected - follow electrical fire in flight checklist
Electrical fire in flight
Master switch - off Circuit breakers - check Electrical switches - off Master switch - on CB and switch for each unit - on CB and switch for failed unit - off
Alternator inop light
Master switch affected side - Off
Tripped CBs - reset
Master switch affected side - On
**if light remains illuminated or CB tripped:
Master switch affected side - off
Electrical load - reduce
Alternator inop light (Both)
Master switch affected side - Off Tripped CBs - reset Master switch affected side - On Alternator CB switches - Off Electrical load - min Land as soon as practical
Engine overheat
Cowl flaps - open
Mixture - rich
Power - reduce
Airspeed - increase if altitude permits
Loss of oil pressure
Engine shutdown checklist
RPM Overspeed
Power - reduce Airspeed - reduce *if RPM is above 2750: Propeller - feather Engine shutdown checklist ** do not shutdown if unable to feather
RPM under speed
Power - reduce Mixture - rich *if propeller moves to feather Mixture - idle cut off Propeller - feather Engine shutdown checklist
Engine roughness
Emergency fuel pump - on Fuel - switch tanks as required Mixture - adjust as required Alternate air - as required Mags - check Cowl flaps - adjust for proper CHT
Asymmetric flap - (Duke)
Flap switch - off Aileron - wings level Flap switch - actuate .5sec increments * if flap symmetry cannot be obtained Flap switch - off Flap CB - pull (flaps inop)
Flap annunciator on calco
Flap selector - reposition slightly
If flaps move - continue
If flaps do not move - check for split flaps
If flaps are split - pull flap CB (inop)
If flaps are not split - pull and reset CB
if flaps do not operate - pull flaps CB (inop)
Single engine go around
Throttle - max continuos Gear - retract Flaps - retract Airspeed - 107 KTS Trim - set Cowl flaps operational engine - open * A/C will not climb with gear and flaps extended
Emergency gear extension
Airspeed - 130 KTS Gear selector - down Emergency handle cover - remove Emergency handle - pump * pump until 3 green and lever neutral
Gear up landing
Gear selector - up * when landing assured Mixture - idle cut off Propellers - feather Firewall shutoff valve - pull off Fuel selector - off Emergency fuel pumps - off Fuel boost pump - off Master switch - off * touchdown at minimum airspeed and level altitude
Forced approach
Flaps - extended Airspeed - 89 KTS (min) Gear - depending on terrain * just prior to touchdown Mixtures - idle cut off Emergency fuel pumps - off Emergency boost pumps - off Fuel selectors - off Master - off
