A

Communications and transport was limited

Widespread illiteracy lower classes were uneducated with ability to read and write

Cruel or violent existences were the norm for the lower class. The upper class lived in comfort and luxury.

Class division clearly existed (upper class and lower class) based on a feudal system.

People lived in the countryside/rural areas.

There was limited free time as work was based on the land:- free time was dictated by the agricultural seasons
