Q

What is the process of an antigen ELISA

A
  1. Antibodies are stuck onto a multi well plate, and left for some time to allow it to adhere to the well.
  2. A sample antigen from the virus being tested for is added, they will stick to the antibodies.
  3. Next, a second antigen with a marker is added and a positive reaction is detected by the marker changing colour when an appropriate substrate is added.
  4. If there are no antigen in the sample, the second antigen will not be able to stick and there will be no colour change.
