What is elevation?
sternal end of the clavicle moves downwards over the sternoclavicular joint
acronym moves upwards and the tip of then shoulders move upwards

scapula translates about 10cm upwards

Upper Fibres of Trapezius
O- superior nuchal line and external occipital bone
medial margin of the ligament nuchae
spinous processes of C7 to T12 and the related supraspinous ligaments
I- superior edge of the crest of the spine of the scapula
acromion, posterior border of lateral 1/3 of clavicle
I- motor spinal pat of accessory nerve
Levator Scapulae
o- transverse processes of C1,2, 3 ad 4 vertebrae and posterior tubercles of transverse processes of C3 and C4 vertebrae
I- posterior surface f medial border of scapula t the root of the spine of the scapula
I- dorsal scapular nerve C4, C5
A- elevation and medial rotation of scapula
Subclavicus
O- lies under the clavicle
costochondral unction of the first rib
I- groove on inferior surface of the middle 1/3of the clavicle
I- nerve to subclavicus C5,C6
A- steadies the clavicle
depresses the lateral end to draw the shoulder downwards and forwards
