What is the Definition of Pitch?
The pitch can either be HIGH or LOW
What is the Tempo?
The speed of the music
Can be FAST or SLOW or STEADY
What is Dynamics?
The volume of the music
Can be LOUD or QUIET/SOFT
What is the Duration?
The length of the note
Can be LONG or SHORT
What is the Texture?
The amount of layers in the music/instruments
Can be THICK or THIN
What is the Structure?
Refers to the sections of a piece
VERSE, CHORUS, SECTION A, SECTION B, etc
What is the Timbre?
The tone or type of sound made by the instrument
Can be HARSH or MELLOW
What is the Rhythm?
The pattern of PULSES or BEATS that go together to make the music interesting
What is the Pulse?
The steady BEAT that does not change
What is the Melody?
The TUNE (often sung by the singer)
What is the Accompaniment?
Refers to the music that goes with the TUNE and provides backing to the TUNE
Often can be CHORDS
What are Chords?
When you play more than one note at a time
Most common type of chord = TRIAD
What is a Triad?
A 3-note chord that you work out using the pattern play-miss-play-miss-play
What is a Treble Clef?
At the start of music

Tells us how many beats per bar:
4/4 (4 beats with crotchets)
