Characterization
When a writer describes and develops a character. There are to methods. Direct characterization refers to the physical description of the figure, or what is said about the character. Indirect characterization refers to development through dialogue or action.
Climax
The point in the plot when action stops rising and begins falling or reversing
Conflict
The “Problem” or struggle phased by the protagonist. Conflict can be external or internal
Mood
The atmosphere or feeling a reader perceives when reading a text. Suggested by descriptive detail and diction
Point of Veiw
Their perspective from which a story is told. Omniscient point of view is told it in third person. It is limited on the omniscient where the narrator has limited knowledge of one character.
Setting
Denotes the time, place, and atmosphere of the work
Theme
The universal message or moral of the story
