What are elements (made out of made from) ?

Answer 1

An element is made up from only one type of atom.

Eg :- Iron is a separate element and so is Sulphur but it doesn’t have anything else.

What are mixtures (made out from) ?

Answer 2

Mixtures contain more than one type of atom but they are not chemically joined.

Eg :- A mixture of Sulphur and Iron, would be like a packet of sweets individually wrapped in a bag.

What are compounds (made out from) ?

Answer 3

Compounds contain more than one type atom and they are chemically joined.

Eg :- Iron Sulphide is a compound made from Iron and Sulphur.
