Catalog
organised listing of goods/services offered for sale. Unlike in physical store, web store advantage is a single product may appear in multiple categories online. ex: branded jewellery can be listed category. gift for her category, and under the specific brand category.
Static Catalog
a simple list written in HTML, codes that can be displayed on a single web page. Must edit HTML to add or delete items.
Dynamic Catalog
stores information about the items in a database which is accessible to the server that is running the website itself. Dynamic catalog can feature photos, detailed descriptions and a search tool that allows customers to search for an item and determine its availability.
Function of Databases
database management software allows users to enter, edit, update, retrieve database information in the database
Cloud Computing

Resizing
a good page layout design should allow for the user to change the size of text or work with different monitor resolutions.
Consistency
page layout should be similar for all areas of the site unless more space is required.
Printing
layout should allow for printing or provide an alternative printing format.
Common errors on content design
