what is a load?

how does the voltage in a parallel or series circuit vary?
in a series circuit, voltage splits among the loads and in a parallel circuit all loads have the same voltage as the battery or cell.
what happens one 1/6 bulbs in a series circuit burns out?
then all of the bulbs would burn out because the electrons can’t flow through.
why are series circuits with more than three loads not common?
the light bulbs get dimmer the more you add
