Electricity and Lightning Flashcards
What is Electricity?
Electricity is a form of energy that comes from the flow of charged particles such as electrons and ions.
What is a ammeter used for?
It is used to measure the current in a circuit.
What is the difference in electrical resistance of an insulator and conductor?
Conductors have low resistance while insulators have high resistance.
What is the difference between a conductor and an insulator?
A conductor allows current to flow easily through it. An Insulator doesn’t allow current to flow through it.
What is a source of light?
Any source or object which emit its own light.
What is a luminous object?
Any object that gives off light of its own.
What are the two types of lights?
Natural light and Artificial light
