Q

A

The same

17
Q

What is the total current through the whole circuit? (parallel)

A

Sum of the currents through the separate components

18
Q

What happens to temperature as the resistance of a filament bulb increases?

A

It increases

19
Q

Why does the temperature increase cause the resistance to increase?

A

Heat energy causes the ions in the conductor to vibrate more, making it more difficult for charge-carrying electrons to get through resulting in resistance to increase

20
Q

Why does the graph of a filament lamp level off?

A

There’s a limit to the amount of current that can flow through, and more current causes a temp. increase which increases resistance causing the current to decrease
