Electrical Flashcards
Starter/Generator Load Limit
200 amps ground
300 amps air to FL180
250 amps air above FL180
Are there any ignition limits?
No
What does ignition of AUTO/OFF/CONT mean
OFF - No ignition (ignition during start unaffected)
AUTO - Activated when negative torque detected
CONT - Ignition is ON continuously. To be used in heavy rain / ice or air starts
External Power voltage
28V
What RPM does the starter auto disconnect
60% RPM
How does Standby Power assist system
Standby Power turned on after start.
Separate Alternator provides standby power.
STBY ELEC PWR INOP light should be off
Shares the load in parallel with generator - approx 10%
If generator fails, takes whole load - max 75amp
What does VOLTAGE LOW mean
Power requirements are draining battery.
What are the START MODE settings
No effect other than during startup/motoring
PARA/SERIES - Parallel (24V), then series at 10% RPM (48V) to help acceleration
PARA - Parallel only
MOTOR - No ignition - used to purge fuel for 10 seconds after failed start.
