Biceps
Origin: Long head on supraglenoid tubercle.
Short Head on coracoid process.
Insertion: Radial Tuberosity.
Function: Flexion of the elbow. Supinates the forearm.
Triceps
Origin: Long head on infraglenoid tubercle.
Other 2 heads on the posterior aspect of humerus.
Insertion: Olecranon process
Function: Extension of Elbow.
Brachialis
Origin: Lower anterior surface of humerus.
Insertion: Coronoid process
Function: Flexion of elbow.
Brachioradialis
Origin: Above lateral epicondyle of humerus.
Insertion: Styloid process of radius.
Fuction: Flexion of forearm when semi-pronated.
Anconeus
Origin: Lateral epicondyle of humerus.
Insertion: Olecranon process and posterior surface of ulna.
Function: Extends elbow.
Pronator Quadratus
Origin: Anterior distal surface of ulna.
Insertion: Anterior distal surface of radius.
Function: Pronates forearm.
Pronator Teres
Origin: Medial epicondyle of humerus and coronoid process of ulna.
Insertion: Midshaft of radius.
Function: Pronates forearm and flexes elbow.
Supinator
Origin: Lateral epicondyle of humerus.
Insertion: Anterior aspect of radius.
Function: Supinates forearm.
