Main idea
The central idea and important info.
Infer
The reader uses text evidence to make an assumption. (Guess+Text evidence=Inference)
Evaluate
Form opinions about what and who they are reading about.
Plot
Organized pattern or sequence of events that make uo a story
Exposition
This usually occurs at the beginning of a story when they introduce the characters, main conflict, and setting.
Rising action
Part of story that develops conflict and creates building of suspense.
Climax
Turning point and when main character comes face to face with the conflict. The main character will change in some way.
Falling Action
All loose ends are tied up and conflicts and climax is taken care of
Resolution
Story comes to reasonable ending
