EKG Interpretation Flashcards
Sinus Arrythmia
R-R interval changes from R to L
Sinus Pause or Block
- No P wave before any QRS
- all QRS look the same
Atrial Tachycardia
- Increased rate of P waves (sawtooth pattern)
- Not every P is followed by QRS
Atrial Fibrillation
- No discernible P wave
- No P wave before QRS
- variable R-R interval
Junctional or Nodal Rhythm
- No P wave
- Slow Rate
- QRS may be slow
1st degree heart block
increased P-R interval
2nd degree heart block type I
- short, long, skip
2nd degree heart block type II
- fixed interval
- 2 P waves for every QRS
3rd degree heart block
- P waves have their own rhythm
- Alters QRS
- HR slow
PVC
- QRS wide
- Before P wave
- Compensatory pause after
Ventricular Tachycardia
- Has QRS
V- Fib
- No wave form
- No pumping
