A

What does ‘Land when Practical’ mean?

A

The mission should be terminated and a landing accomplished at a suitable alternate or the planned destination aerodrome at the discretion of the pilot, after considering the nature of the emergency weather conditions, aerodrome facilities, ambient lighting, aircraft gross weight and command guidance.

Ejection Checks - Points to note

A

Canopy must be closed and locked,
notify the other occupant as soon as possible,
make a conscious effort to adopt the correct ejection posture:
- butt back,
- back pressed firmly against seat
- head firmly pressed against headrest
- eyes closed
- grip firing handle with master hand, grip wrist with other hand.
