Q

Explain EIGRP add path feature and also what you need to do to configure it in DMVPN.

A
  • Distance vector behavior is to only forward on its best path to its neighbor, therefore even if it has equal two routes in its table for a prefix it will only forward one to its neighbor.
  • Add-path makes sure additonal paths are advertised
  • To configure if you use “add-path 1” command means add one more path to existing path which then means 2 paths. In DMVPN you have to use command “no next-hop-self no ecmp mode” for add paths to work
