EIGRP Flashcards
1
Q
Name the different methods of EIGRP filtering
A
- Distribute List
- Offset List
- Route-tag
- Passive Interface
- Per-Neighbor Prefix limit
- Maximum Hops
- (Admin) Distance per neighbor and also specify prefix
2
Q
Describe steps required to all block routes from a specific neighbor y (using prefix-list)
A
- Create prefix-list 1 permitting all
- Create 2nd prefix-list 2 denying neighbor y address then permitting all
- Use the distribute command: distribute-list prefix gateway in
3
Q
Describe steps required to block route x from a specific neighbor y (using access-list)
A
- Create access-list 100 denying ip host y host x. Then 2nd line permit all
- Use the distribute command: distribute-list 100 in
4
Q
Explain EIGRP add path feature and also what you need to do to configure it in DMVPN.
A
- Distance vector behavior is to only forward on its best path to its neighbor, therefore even if it has equal two routes in its table for a prefix it will only forward one to its neighbor.
- Add-path makes sure additonal paths are advertised
- To configure if you use “add-path 1” command means add one more path to existing path which then means 2 paths. In DMVPN you have to use command “no next-hop-self no ecmp mode” for add paths to work
