CABIN ALTITUDE or Rapid Depressurization
- Don O2 mask
- Establish crew communications
- Check cabin altitude & rate. Verify PACKS are on & OUTFLOW VALVES are closed
- If the cabin altitude is uncontrollable: –PASSENGER/SUPRNMRY OXY switch–ON
—Without delay, descend to the lowest safe altitude or 14,000’, whichever is higher
Aborted Engine Start
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected eng)–CUTOFF
Engine Limit or Surge or Stall
- Thrust Lever (affected eng)-Confirm–Retard until indications stay within normal limits or return to normal, or the thrust lever is at idle
Multiple Engine Flameout or Stall or ENG 1, 2, 3, 4 FAIL
- CONT IGNITION Switch (if installed)–ON
- FUEL CONTROL Switches (affected engs)-Confirm–CUTOFF, then RUN
- If EGT rises rapidly, approaching the EGT limit: Repeat the above steps as needed
FIRE APU
- APU Fire Switch-Confirm–PULL, rotate to the stop & hold for 1 second
FIRE ENG 1, 2, 3, 4 or Severe Engine Damage or Separation
- Thrust Lever (affected eng)-Confirm–CLOSE
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected eng)-Confirm–CUTOFF
- Engine Fire Switch (affected eng)-Confirm–PULL
- If the FIRE ENG message is shown:
–Engine Fire Switch–rotate to the stop & hold for 1 second
—If after 30 seconds the FIRE ENG message stays shown:
—-Engine Fire Switch–rotate to the other stop & hold for 1 second
FIRE ENGINE TAILPIPE
- FUEL CONTROL Switch (affected eng)–CUTOFF
IAS DISAGREE or Airspeed Unreliable
- Check pitch attitude and thrust
- If pitch attitude or thrust are not normal for phase of flight:
—Autopilot disengage switch–PUSH
—Autothrottle disconnect switch–PUSH
—F/D switches (both)–OFF
—Establish normal pitch attitude & thrust setting for the phase of flight
