Terminology
Patient header
Displays basic information about the patient’s demographics and key patient information.
Tab list
Displays the name of each section in the electronic health record.
Session information
Displays your name and the activity title You are currently working in; when in the EHR.
Close session
Button to exit the EHR and return to the EHR GO activity dashboard.
Tab details
Displays the information found in the particular tab. You have selected. Notice on the tab list a white arrow appears to indicate which tab details are being displayed.
Overview tab
This area contains a quick overview of the latest information regarding the patient. This tab is used to get quick overall. Look at the patient. This area is a dashboard of information that is updated as work occurs in other areas of the chart.

Electronic health record (EHR)
Is a digital version of a patient paper chart. EHR are real time, patient-centered records that make information available instantly and securely to authorized users.

- Contain a patient’s medical history, diagnosis, medications, treatment plans, immunization dates, allergies, Radiology images, and laboratory and test results.
- Allow access to evidence-based tools that providers can use to make decisions about a patient’s care.
