They were giant tombs, built to house the mummified remains of Pharoahs (Kings and Queens) of Egypt.

Why did the Egyptians mummify people?
To keep the bodies from decomposing. They thought they would need their bodies in the after life, and they didn’t want stinky, mushy, rotting bodies.

What are hieroglyphics?
The Ancient Egyptian form of writing.
Who writes using hieroglyphics?
Egyptians! But more specifically, Egyptian “scribes” - people specifically trained to write (or carve) hieroglyphics.
What were the names of the rulers of Egypt?
They were called Pharaohs.
When using PRAISE to discuss Egyptian Pharaohs, why could they fit under both Politics and Religion?
Pharaohs were like the kings, or rulers, of Egypt (Politics). They were also worshipped as living gods (Religion).
