What is sustainable development
Sustainable development is a concept that aims to achieve economic growth and improve the well-being and health for our current and future generations. It also involves balancing economic, environmental and social considerations to create a equitable country of city.
Is carbon footprint a reliable measure of the how sustainable your country is?
Carbon footprint is a reliable measure but we cannot be too sure of the overall sustainability. Carbon footprint measures greenhouse gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide. However, sustainability emcopasses a broader range of environmental aspects, such as biodiversity conservation, water management, waste management, and land. So, relying on carbon footprint can overlook the critical environmental factors.
