Carbon footprint is a reliable measure but we cannot be too sure of the overall sustainability. Carbon footprint measures greenhouse gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide. However, sustainability emcopasses a broader range of environmental aspects, such as biodiversity conservation, water management, waste management, and land. So, relying on carbon footprint can overlook the critical environmental factors.
