Efficient and effective solutions Flashcards
Effectiveness is often subjective. Who will you ask to determine the effectiveness of your software solution? How will you ask so you know they didn’t just make up their response?
Evaluation of software solutions is done by users, focusing on accuracy and alignment with the client’s needs.
To ensure precision, cross checking techniques such as surveys and interviews are utilised. Observation, though reliable, can be subject to interpretation by analysts.
Efficiency is usually measured. What can be measured to demonstrate the efficiency of a software solution?
Efficiency is an objective measurement.
Examples include:
* The processing time taken to achieve a result.
* The number of keystrokes required to navigate a user interface, from login screen to data entry screen.
* Productivity achievements when reports or transactions are completed.
